Every day we turn on the news there is a major fight in WashingtonDC to find out the truth. There is one testimony after another, private meetings, emails and text messages. There is so much effort being given to find the truth. The reason why concrete evidence is being sought is because truth is facts. It is pass incidents of actual conversations; actual documents being created that must be reestablished. When truth is reestablished the recreation of a pass evidence becomes a present reality and the process forward is more peaceful. Chaos only takes place when truth is hidden and those involved are not willing to address it with integrity against the law.
The Holy Spirit today has become more about how spirited a worship service can be because we all want to feel God moving. Life is so challenging that we feel rejuvenated by the feel of worship because it energizes us to continue to live each day. This can be strengthening and refreshing. However, that feeling can be like the wind. How do we experience this refreshment each day it is important because we need the strength? God is all for a spirited worship service (John 4:24), but because He knows how Satan works, He also wants us to live a Spirit driven life so that the strength we need is long lasting.
The Spirit of God is focused on making God’s Word a living reality each day. He is the truth (John 14:16-17) and He came to guide us into truth (John 16:13). As a result, He exposes to us the truth of our lives each day and then challenges us to apply God’s Word to it and if we don’t, He convicts us (John 16:7-11). This, many timescreates a serious struggle between what we feel like doing and what the Spirit of God is telling us to do. So, like in Washington,God creates a series of meetings to confront us with the truth (the taught and preached Word of God) and then challenges us to live it as the Holy Spirit empowers us to apply it (Philippians 2:12-13). This is the battle that can make our walk with God seem burdensome (Romans 7:24) when it does not need to be. Our willingness to decide to walk in the truth reduces the battle andremoves chaos from our lives. This is because the Spirit works from the inside out developing character traits, we need to consistently overcome the struggles of life. These traits allow the Spirt of God to guide our lives, based on the truth, which becomes strength for living each day (Galatians 5:22-23). Then the joy and peace that comes can never be destroyed (Philippians 4:8-9). It is this that made Paul content when broke (Philippians 4:10-13) and Daniel (Daniel 6:7-24) at peace in a Lion’s Den.
Be committed to live a Spirit driven life by accepting God’s truth.
